So I was wanting to purchase a new keyboard (a mechanical one) for work. This would be my first mechanical keyboard. I have a Razer DeathStalker Chroma keyboard at home currently. I liked the chiclet keys and slim low profile design with the backlit RGB lighting. I wanted to try a mechanical keyboard but didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on one. I did want it to be backlit (RGB preferrably) and I wanted the experience of typing to be magical. After searching and searching for the right one, I chose the AJazz Firstblood Geek AK33 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. One word… WOW!

I must say, for only $57, this thing is a dream. I feel like I can type faster on this thing. I don’t know what it is but the sound it makes while pressing a key is so satisfying. I love it so much. Now I know why so many people swear by them. I didn’t want to leave it at work (it was too pretty) so I brought it home. I plugged it into my PC at home for my wife to use but she absolutely hates it. I knew she wouldn’t like the clicky clicky. She hates that its loud, that it’s small and that there’s no number pad. I was like:

This keyboard rocks. It’s got multiple lighting modes to choose from. It doesn’t require software to be installed on your PC. The programming is embedded in the keyboard itself so no constant notifications and software updates are required like others.. ahem… Razer. It also has a detachable I/O (USB to mini USB). This thing is a dream to code with and also brilliant for gaming. You can turn gaming mode on and it will light up whatever you set to light up and in any color. It also gives you the ability to disable the Windows key because god damn is it frustrating when you’re trying to quickly go prone from incoming fire only to bring up the windows menu!!!

The colors Duke…. the colors! This keyboard is so beautiful. I find myself just staring at the thing countless times. The colors are so vibrant and bright. The only issue I have is that the “white” looks a little too purple for me. And I can also notice the flickering of the LED’s trying to make white happen. Other than that, it’s gorgeous. This mechanical eye candy is here to stay.

So yeah, I am super happy with this product. I’m excited to see what my fingers will be spitting out with this thing in the coming months. Maybe one day I can get something more expensive because you get what you pay for. And if this keyboard is one of the cheapest out there… I don’t think I can handle a higher quality one. My eyes and fingers might not be able to take it.

This post was typed up using the AJazz Firstblood Geek AK33 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.
